Since this is being done in the aid of charity. I want to be able to do something for you guys

Over at [community profile] neopian_adults I was able to ask for what their wishes were for neopets and have done something for people over there. They are a pretty great bunch of people over there, everyone helps each other out with advice etc and they do help the newbies out without being bitchy.

Now I want to do something for you guys. Is there anything you want? Like recs, a story, an itune, graphics something from your wishlist anywhere?

I'm lauren_write over on Twitter and my most favourite search over there is competitivegeekbaiting. I even join in the baiting even though I know I am only riling myself as well.

Here as some of the gems:

I dont see a need for 'premium' coffees when instant is all you need. Anything else is just a waste of money.

RTD would be a superb write for supernatural (I own up to this one, couldn't resist)

Joe Quesada was the best thing that ever happened to Marvel Comics

found a mistake in "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy". 6 x 9 is NOT 42! The answer is 54! OMG

A 'graphic novel' is not a real novel. Real novels don't have pictures

For some reason when I heard of the 5000 Question meme I thought what a great idea lets do it!

So I've managed to get the first 100 questions answered with some tongue and cheek. I'm working on the next 100 now.

I keep grimacing every time I look at my budget for travelling. I'm totally up things like the tours, the flights, hostels, food and money I need to have on hand at borders.

I knew roughly how much it was going to cost me and I have the money but I have occassionally entertained the idea that I might have miscalculated and I would have this lovely surprise of extra spending money.

Some money is definitely going on getting clothes made while I am in indochina. It takes them 24 hours and they are tailor made. I am definitely taking some patterns with me.

Oh yeah back to money, next on list double check how much the visas cost

The half an hour flew by as did two episodes of Queer as Folk which I am really enjoying. I really love Stuart. The actor plays a guy in the wire and I keep expecting that character to announce that he is gay.

I'm on my second JD in a can and I've had a cold sausage. This is all going very well. I do have a little tiredness but nothing a champion all night can't handle

I'm Callista_fox over there if you are interested

Lab ray: boring - 3 strength points
Goparokko (on hard) - 7312
Ultimate Bullseye - 24
Turmac Roll - 369 (bit crap)
Meerca chase - 120 (a red negg was where a red negg should never have been)

and 3/4 a game of destructo match which is still going and going very well

...considering I do much more on there in a day I shudder to think how much time I spend there altogether in a day

There is some birthday cake left, I think a slice of that will go down very well.

My body thinks my mind is weird for doing this. It is inserting a clause for next year wherein it is given proper warning it is going to be driven through the night and still have to think and make a lot of movements.

Ugh there should be a more gorgeous cover for 'Kushiel's Dart', they describe an incredibly designed tattooo on Phedre's back and they don't show it off on any of the covers. People should read the series, it is glorious rich in written detail

My google ninja skills are failing me. If you want me to look up a random fact, a date, a source for an article I can do it in less than a heartbeat. However trying to work out trips on google? I am made of fail. I don't have a clue which ones are the better ones and better value for money.

For example the scuba diving and snorkeling vary widely in Australia and I can't see why.

However I must keep going, I will prevail because I really want to see the Great Barrier Reef close up.

So this half I am listening out for good Due South quotes to post about.

Hopefully I will get one or two about Inuits.

Fraser: Do you want to shoot someone?
Guy: Sometimes

Fraser: Thank you kindly

There hasn't been much in the first twenty mins in the way of funnies. Oh well, I am still enjoying it and I will be enjoying it for a good few hours now.

Occassionally I like to put my first name into the search engine of fanfiction.net to see what stories come up.

The first one I found had a gem of a title
Lauren Copper vs Cybermen ....there is no words to describe the story. This is just one of its lines
'“Am I bovvered?” the Cyberman asked.'

The Origin of Lauren Potter The title says it all but because I can't resist 'Lauren looks like her mother but has her father's eyes

Lauren Heltings and the beginning of the end and now I'm his adoptive older sister

Night of Fire In which I get to have sex with the Rock

There are also ones for Supernatural, NCIS and Pirates of the Carribean

AND OH MY EYES THEY DID IT TO THE NINJA TURTLES AS WELL

Mathmaker I'm not going to even try to read this one

Cherries!

I have a bowlful of cherries in front of me now! If it wasn't raining outside I would go and spit the pips and see how far I could get them.

When I went into the kitchen I said hello to the cat. He had his back to me on the chair he likes to sleep on and rolled off in attempt to turn around and greet me. The cute sleepy cat got many cuddles which did very little for his dignity levels.

I am now on West Wing Sunday and I've started s1e04 - Five Votes Down

As soon as this episode is over, I am writing.

So we have for pairings - Josh/Sam (a touch of Josh/Sam/Donna later), CJ/Toby. Does anyone else have any shout out on pairings they want.

I've got some possible titles and I am open up to others, or let me know if you guys like one of these:

Price of Fire
Hidden Depths
Tit for Tat
Communications

*giggles* this is the episode where Toby's shares have gone through the roof and the president is loopy on drugs.

It is also light outside now and very wet, ick. I guess it is a good thing I won't be stepping more than two feet outside the door today.

I must get mum to get some more for me when she goes out later to do the food shopping, they are far too moreish

Also I think my brain is getting a little fuzzy, I forgot what disc of the West Wing I wanted and had to go up and down the stairs several times until I got the right one. I'm oddly now finishing off the end of series 4.

In the next half hour I plan to be productive by getting things I plan to sell online photographed and up, some might even feature for charity here. If they are going to be items I will make money from, I will make an extra post between the half hour slots and state it isn't blogathon so the two don't mixed and confused.

I think I waking up again now.

It is definitely easier to do things on the internet than to get much done away from the internet. I've got one item uploaded to ebay and that is all. As soon as I have had a shower I will try and get the next couple of items up.

The room is getting gradually more and more messy argh

(24/48)
pinikir: (Default)
The shower felt good though my eyes stung like hell. The hair drying and into clothes rather than a dressing gown come next. This is all in stages. It is rather cool and weird to be watching the time all the time so I can run to the keyboard and get something posted.

I'm going to watch the F1 Qualifying on BBC iplayer now. I was going to avoid it and have a surprise during race build up. But dad managed to spoil it a little when he got up even when I asked him not to so I am going to watch it now and see exactly how it all happened.

Mistoffelees does have a strange obsession with bags. He loved peering in them and crawling in, even if it is plain plastic bag. Now if he was really like his namesake he would be bringing out something besides himself when he emerges from the bag.

In one hour I will have been up for twenty-four hours.

Freezing

pinikir: (Default)
I was lovely and warm while I was in the shower but now that I am dressed, I feel freezing. I've tossed a fleece on that I didn't need during the night. . brrr, I'm buried up to my nose in it. I needed that whine.

The qualifying for the f1 is slowly putting me to sleep at the minute, there was an exciting bit but the commentators voices are so boring, I am tuning right out.

The last time I saw such a big accident was when Ralph Schumacher fractured bones in his back. This is infinitely more serious. It is ridiculous from a safety point of view that such a small piece of another car could cause so much damage.

I don't blame the track or the teams that was a freaking incident. There was a gravel trap and a tire barrier at the turn he went off. All the safety precautions were in place.

He is stable at the minute but they won't be bringing him out from under the anesthetic until later on today so it is hard to tell how he is really doing.

I really hope he is okay

I would love some suggestions on what you like to see me post about or questions or prompts I can do in a post because I've no earthly clue what I am going to post about for the next.....18 or so posts.

Currently I'm hunting for designs for clothes to take with me to get made up.

On the Ning Nang Nong
Where the Cows go Bong!
and the monkeys all say BOO!
There's a Nong Nang Ning
Where the trees go Ping!
And the tea pots jibber jabber joo.
On the Nong Ning Nang
All the mice go Clang
And you just can't catch 'em when they do!
So its Ning Nang Nong
Cows go Bong!
Nong Nang Ning
Trees go ping
Nong Ning Nang
The mice go Clang
What a noisy place to belong

I thoughtless put my Tigger behind Winnie the Pooh. When I went upstairs and saw it again, I burst into some horrified laughter. All I could thing was boing boing boing.

Someone, some crazy someone had told me about the existence of Winnie the Pooh slash years ago and it corrupted teddy bears and their tightly packed stuffing for me.

You don't believe it exists?

Anyone who comes anywhere near my bedroom is liable to be swept up with a very large dustpan and brush and deposited into a black bag. I am ransacking my room and decluttering. (word check suggested shuttering and I thought it said sluttering)

When I think of all the things I won't use for a year it is a bit silly and someone else can get some use out of them, even if it is only for recycling. Books seem to be being evicted in the large amounts (sorry books!)

Postcards have escaped the bin, they are going into a scrap book where they are not written on, and into an album where they are written on. They are very grateful ^^

May I present three mushroom candles that are looking for a home. They've come all the way from Istanbul:

They can go as a three, a two or a one and you don't have to pay post and packaging anywhere around the world. You could donate the p+p money to Children in Crossfire if you wanted (I'm sticking with the Blogathon-ness)

There are some other goodies I hope to give away as they reappear out of the boxes

Comments will be screened so you can give addresses for posting :)

I've put all the posts up for rewatch day for the West Wing. It doesn't take long but I was barely thinking and nearly left EPISODE NAME in, instead of changing it to FIVE VOTES DOWN. There is nothing else that I need to do anywhere immediately for modly duties. I love doing modding stuff so I am oddly disappointed that I there is nothing else to do.

On neopets with the great give away I've helped 27 people so far!

I found this writing prompt and I thought it would be much more fun to do it from characters’ points of view. These characters are all original and will probably be new to most of you:

Write a list of seven reasons to turn down a marriage proposal

Calli: I’m in love with a demon
Ian: I’m gay
George: I would want to make the proposal
Roland: Vamps aren’t allowed to marry
Jenna: It would get in the way of my career
Saskia: I’ve already made one mistake with a bastard
Jaden: I’m washing my hair

My mum is trying to persuade me to go out of the house. I am resisting, though I am prepared to do voice posts if I must. It would be better if it doesn’t come to that, I don’t think I want a whole pile of people listening in, in the middle of camping shop thing.

I am posting a couple of minutes early so I can see the lights go off for F1

Soup
I’ve just made myself a cup of soup and learnt a wisdom – soup keeps you going longer than eating something like a sandwich. If it sees me through even an hour I will be happy. I have had my first sip and I feel lovely and warm ^^

F1
I’m in the sitting room now for the F1 racing and I am ready for a short rant over some of next season’s regulations. The teams will not be able to refuel during the race next year. This is going to make race watching beyond boring. There are tracks where the skill is in the driver for overtaking and then there are the more technical circuits were positions are lost and gained in the pits. It will be down to tyre wear and everyone’s speeds will be similar. I think the Mercedes Benz has the biggest fuel tank at the minute but even that isn’t big enough for a full race. The shape of the cars will be become bulky and less aerodynamic which will make overtaking even harder.

Random Supernatural thoughts
I hope the angels are well endowed, they have scarily kept bulges from showing
Sam would make a good werewolf because he does great puppydog eyes
Castiel should have a demon who is his exact opposite and they can have occasional hot angry sex.
Dean should wear all leather
Carry on wayward son should be played more often

The dvds that are currently in the living room and off their shelf to be watched by myself or my parents:

3:10 to Yuma, A Midsummer’s Night Dream, Appaloosa, Casino Royale, CATS, Children of Men, The Departed, Frost Nixon, Get Carter, Hollywoodland, The Killing Fields, Kingdom of Heaven, Ronin, National Treasure 2, The Wire (series 3)

There is also a scrapbook on a coffee table that dad has yet to take into his study. I bought for him so he can paste all the letters he has had published in the paper in

On the other coffee table is the faithful scrabble set. Mum and I play it at least three times a week. We usually average a score of 260-275 a piece. I did get 329 the other night which was awesome as was my opening word ‘covens’.

I think I may fail epically at surfing but I think I will have fun doing so. As long as I don’t make too embarrassing a duck into the water with legs at all angles and come up spluttering water. It won’t be quite the look I was going for.

This picture is still making me smile after all this time:

Sorry for killing everyones flists, I promise there is only 8 more entries to come.

It is appropriate that on post 40 I have a total of £40 pledged for Children in Crossfire. I will be adding £10 as well because I bet myself that I couldn’t do this and I want the money coughed up, I am not letting myself off just because we are the same person.

*looks furtively out the window* I have a huge chocolate craving. Not sure I can make it the shop and back in half an hour…

Maybe if I ra….walked

Ah ha I shall use the dad service if I can.

I really wish the weather would make its mind if it was going to rain or not. The clouds have looked ominous for half and hour and I have remained half coiled to spring for the clothes hanging out. Half coiled is a very uncomfortable position.

Could you sue the weather?

BLEH I DIDN’T WANT HAMILITON TO WIN.

I am glad Raikkonen is doing better.

Just when I was getting ready to post this, the rain came on really heavily. I got drenched in two seconds trying to rescue the washing.

The hoover sounds much like a car when it starts up.

42nd post has me thinking of the ‘Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy’.

A nod to the dolphins and ‘so long and thank you for all the fish’:

I will be taking my towel with me everywhere (when I decide which one I want to take).

My life is still full of riddles. 42 doesn’t seem like the right answer for me but then again neither does pineapple. Hopefully I will find some of the answers while I am travelling or at least begin to tangle the first line of the riddles again.

Knowing that America are going to remake this, it is my sworn duty to get everyone interested in the original before they RUIN it. It is a foregone conclusion that they will. They really suck at anything violent and pscycological when it comes to film making

I'll take any recommendations on books to fill my ereader. Whatever your taste I am willing to give it a go.

The same applies to fanfic toss links etc on over.

I'm cramming my ereader to the guillets with books that will do on all forms of transport and beds.

I love my ereader to pieces. It is small and lightweight, and can hold thousands of books. The print is adjustable and turning a page is a simple button. There is no light to it (unless you switch it on) so the back to the text is the same dull matt as a book (except it is grey).

oh the excitement, I had to lay the table for dinner. We do have cool placemats - they have different landmarks in Northern Ireland on them. They are even older than I am! The images are done like paintings.

We are getting a gammon roast tonight. A pity gammon is my least favourite roast by a long way.

I don't get to go and collapse straight after the last post. There is an episode of the Wire to be watched. I will muster what is left of my concentration there is for that or I'll be lost two episodes into series four.

The cat has been sleeping all the time I have been awake and I suspect he is going to wake up when I get ready to be sleep. Right now with his fluffy coat he looks like he is wearing long comfortable pajamas.

The tour trips I want to take were gone over with my parents over dinner, we scrutinised every last detail, including the additional money I would need for the meals that weren't included and spending money. Thankfully we are all satisfied with the price (as we can be) and what the tours offer me.

I blogged for a solid twenty-four hours. Some of it may have been a great deal of jumble but it was fun and all the better because it was in the aid of charity.

Thanks to everyone who has commented at some point during the twenty-four hours and for the words of encouragement. Heck it was something of a group effort to keep me going at times.

Everyone should give this a shot at some point though I would suggest stocking up on snacks and good coffee. I could have done with the good stuff at quite a few points in the night. Coffee mmmm Ianto mmm Jack licking coffee flavoured chocolate off him mmmmmm.
